Assignment:
NOTE: Be sure to place the Vietnam War within the context of the Cold War.
Provide decent background for how the US got involved in Vietnam immediately
after WWII and the changing nature of US involvement in the region.

Using a minimum of five of the documents provided, plus the textbook for a total
of six sources, write an argumentative essay answering the question. Do not use
outside sources. Your paper should include an introduction, a conclusion, and at

Basic Requirements:
Essays should be at least five paragraphs, including an introduction and a
conclusion
Essays should be a minimum of two pages of text (this is a minimum requirement
for a passing paper, not an “A” paper. NOTE: most “A” papers are at least three
pages, usually longer).
A minimum of five of the sources provided should be used in your analysis PLUS
your textbook, for a minimum total of six sources.
Do not use outside sources.
Include a brief Works Cited page (see Checklist and Sample Essay)
Citations must be included.
