Assessment Purpose:             This assessment requires students to critically reflect on their teaching philosophy and their development as a teacher as result of taking this course. The reflection needs to be supported by the theory covered in the course and reliable and current academic research

This assessment relates to learning outcome a, b & c.

Task Details:                            Reflect on how your own teaching philosophy has changed since you started this course. Please refer to relevant research as well as your practical experience as a teacher and/or TESOL student.

Research requirements:          Students need to support their analysis with support from a minimum of 6 suitable, reliable, current and academically acceptable sources as indicated by the lecturer/tutor.

Presentation:                           1200 + Word docx, including a cover page, appropriate headings and sub-headings, in-text referencing and reference list (Harvard Anglia style), 1.5 spaced, font Times New Roman 12pt, Calibri 11pt or Arial 10pt.

  • Look back to your Teaching Philosophy Reflections you wrote at the beginning of the course and think about what’s changed.
